It can be driven close to walls without crashing, and avoiding steps, and it also raises its mop automatically when driving over rugs and short-pile carpets. However, it did struggle with carpets with a longer pile and also several large, thick piles of dried-on debris.
The S1 Pro is ready to go from the moment you purchase it, and it only needs just a few minutes of mapping to discover your home. The map will then be displayed in the app and you can add or merge rooms as needed. You can also set virtual boundaries and no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you do not want the robot to touch.
